The End
‘He who endures shall be saved ’
“Seal the book until the time of the end:
Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase” Daniel 12:4
‘But he who endures to the end shall be saved’
Mark 13:13.
Everyday the media trumpets the instability of a world teetering on the edge of economic meltdown. Millions have lost homes, savings, jobs, superannuation, and their security. Banks are crashing; people are withdrawing their cash fearing great losses. Fear of the future is everywhere. Why is this all happening in a technologically advanced world? Is there more to all this than meets the eye? People everywhere are asking, “why is this happening?” Is it a sign of the end?
Jesus spoke of many signs of the end; one of them is the great distress and trouble that will be on the planet before He comes back. ‘The disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and the end of the age?” Matthew 24:3. Many Christians know we are at the end, and may agree that the signs of the end stare at us everyday, but most don’t want to really believe it, or even consider an end. It is negative, and does not often fit into the theology of ever increasing success and ease. However, the scriptures are very clear that the world system as we know it will eventually come to an end, and quickly (Revelations 18).
Christians must have a clear understanding of the end, and that there actually is an end - if we are to endure the immense pressures that will be on this generation before Jesus Christ returns to earth. The end of the world as we know it requires us to have strength of character in Christ, enabling us to withstand anything: any pressure, trial, sickness, challenge, or battle. The end of the world is a time full of immense instability as we are seeing on a global scale everyday on TV. ‘Because you have kept my command to persevere I will also keep you from the hour of trial which shall come upon the whole world to test those who dwell on the earth. Behold I come quickly…’ Revelation 3:10-11. The scriptures are clear that there is great trial on earth before Jesus comes back – trial that will need believers with strong faith and the power and the habit of enduring. We live in days where the ability to withstand prolonged strain, is a characteristic of heart and spirit that is very much needed. The world is being shaken up in many ways, Jesus exhorts all Christians to be absolutely ready for the end, and gives clear guidance to know what to expect, for there will be incredible pressures to endure at a level that humanity has not seen in all history. In 2008 these times are now upon us.
The Bible also says that God will pour out His glory on all the earth and the gospel will be preached to the whole world before he returns. Now is the time that the world needs to hear the real answers to life, that will bring humanity and all its suffering to the truth of Christ. This book challenges our readiness to endure with great faith and strength, and explores the signs of our day: false religion, deception, earthquakes, wars, distress and disease. Jesus says, ‘For the things concerning Me have an end’ Luke 22:37. “Lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world (ages)” Amen’ Matthew 28:20. ‘So it will be at the end of the world (age). The angels will come forth, separate the wicked from among the just’ Matthew 13:49. Are you prepared to endure? (Download the book today).
