- The Importance of Knowing
God's Word
‘In the beginning (before all time) was the Word (Christ), and the
Word was with God, And the Word was God Himself’ John
1:1. ‘By
faith we understand that the worlds were framed (fashioned, put in order,
and equipped for their intended purpose) by the word of God, So that what
we see was not made out of things which are visible’ Hebrews
11:3.
The first dawn was introduced to the earth, created from words; painted
by the tongue of the Omnipotent Artist of the universe - God. Words are
paint; hues of expression - when crafted with the Lord’s guiding
hand, they can change lives. This book is for you the believer. It is
about God’s awesome word. Words that won’t let you down, words
that will change your life: to give you hope, wisdom, knowledge, revelation,
and a loving reverence for God. Words that will make you stand tall, having
confidence in who you are and what you believe. In our frenetic world
we have lost the art of waiting and being still, our hope and trust is
in so many other things, yet 'I wait for the Lord, my soul waits,
and in His word I do hope’ Psalm 130:5. Hope is found in His word. His
word is your priceless art.
Many Christians want to get closer to the Lord, yet have relied so much
on feelings and experiences, they are all good of course, but the greatest
way to know the Lord apart from prayer is to abide in His words. The days
of being a lukewarm Christian, just trying to be spiritually fed, getting
by on a once a week duty pilgrimage to church has to end. We must review
what we actually believe in; know it, understand it, making our foundations
solid, to walk maturely, and make a difference on the earth for others.
Many new writers are emerging in this time; they have searched the scriptures
for years, and are releasing great revelation from the word for this end-time
generation. God is calling his Church to go way beyond the boundaries
of our historic and recent forefathers. To go over the fences of fear
and unbelief that have stopped the Church fully possessing all God has
for us. The fullness of the promises of God set out in the word, have
yet to be fulfilled for many nations, now is the time to rise up and be
strong in the word of God.
There are 6 billion people on the planet, only about 2 billion have heard
the gospel. The laborers are few, and the job won't be done with a weak
Church without resource. The whole counsel of God’s word must be
embraced and taught like never before. Individually, we have a responsibility
and call, to know His word and live it out with unlimited possibility.
The world faces increasingly desperate times. The traditions, denominational
pride - old and new - legalism, lack of knowledge, and consequently, the
ineffectiveness of churches, must be overcome if we are to move forward
