The Divine Artist
‘Art for God’s Sake’
This is the seventh book release by Stephen Bennett and is destined to become a classic inspiration for artists around the world.
‘For by Him(Jesus) all things were created that are in heaven and that are on the earth, visible, and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers.
All things were created through Him for Him’ Colossians 1:16.
The world we live in consumes and runs on copious amounts of artistic expression. Society is heavily influenced by every form of art - a massive vogue living of music, television, film, design, advertising, fashion, magazines, fine-art, and architecture, to name a few. Art helps to sculpt and charter our thinking: helping to build the way we live, and forming our philosophies of modern life.
In more recent Church history, we have had either lack of skill, or involvement in the arts, or people who are very skilled, but they have little or no understanding of their craft and its purposes from a spiritual perspective. Much of this is changing in contemporary Christendom, and there has been an incredible new awakening of expression in the arts, especially in the area of music, yet, we have only scratched the surface of the creative possibilities with God. The Church worldwide is in an apostolic reformation and it is very important to embrace, and fully understand the artist and their role in these times. Thank God for the Mel Gibson’s of the world who have raised the bar and create with the fear of God in their hearts, smashing the clean porcelain images we have of a religious Christ, far removed from the earthy powerful carpenter we see in the Bible.
The brush of the Divine Artist is His mouth. He spoke into being the things that He wanted to manufacture, and created a sublime picture, a symphony, an exquisite dance, the sublime ballet, the supreme opera, an image of the invisible, a tangible connection between God’s invisible supernatural world and the visual world. ‘God’s invisible attributes, His artistic nature, are seen in a sunset, a sunrise, each day uniquely different, exquisitely beautiful, a fresh painting new every morning. Each wisp of cloud, each frond of burnt orange breathtakingly placed for maximum effect’ Stephen Bennett. Creativity is prophetic, inherent from the character of its author – God. That is why many artists are prophets, or prophetic to some degree. The spirit of prophecy is intrinsic to the whole planet – its time to prophesy in every creative idiom.
The ultimate end of art is for God’s Sake. His purposes should be at the heart of what we create, for in the spiritual process of artistry we can communicate Him, change atmospheres, build the Church, bring glory to Him, and in many ways prosper in the process. I appeal to artists everywhere – it’s time to find and worship your Maker. The One who made you unique with all your gifts and talents. It is time for you to collaborate with Him – you will never find a better mentor, and you will never be a better muse.
In these end-times, before the return of Jesus to this planet, art and all its expressions will have an immense impact in this world in communicating the truth and reality of God. The best is yet to come in these days - the creative possibilities with God are endless. Download this book today, it will change your life! Cut! |
